color Therapy & Therapeutic Painting
Color has long been sought for its restorative properties. I offer a guided therapeutic process that incorporates color as a way to support emotional regulation and encourage self-reflection. Sessions involve working with simple creative exercises—often using watercolors or soft pastel pigments—where color is introduced intentionally and at a measured pace. No artistic skill or prior experience is needed.
Rather than focusing on making images or expressing feelings symbolically, this work emphasizes how color is experienced in the body and nervous system. Attention is given to sensation, mood, memory, and inner response as color unfolds on the page. The process is gentle, structured, and contemplative, offering a non-verbal way to engage with stress, burnout, and internal processing that can be difficult to access through conversation alone.
Color therapy is integrated into an ongoing therapeutic relationship and adapted to each individual. I guide the process, provide containment and reflection, and support integration so that what arises during therapy can be understood and carried into your daily life.
