A very warm welcome to you as you take this courageous step towards healing and self-exploration.

I am glad you are here!

______

As an expressive arts therapist, my approach is centered around creative expression in an environment where you are seen, heard, and genuinely cared about. I practice from a trauma-informed, relational psychodynamic therapeutic approach with an emphasis on expressive arts and holistic client centered therapy. I also work with mindfulness practices, somatic/body awareness, and firmly believe in Health at Every Size®. Relational therapy and expressive arts work together beautifully as a therapeutic modality because it holds you as the expert of your own life and experiences. As a relational therapist, I see myself as someone who is there to walk alongside you listening deeply and attuning to you, your life story, and your therapeutic needs. As a therapist specializing in expressive arts therapy, I can offer a space for you to explore your inner-world through the healing power of your own unique creative process.

Incorporating expressive arts into your therapy session is not about making something that looks good, nor does it require any kind of experience as an artist; it is all about removing judgment and allowing your mind and body to connect together through the creative process. It can be fun and deeply transformative!

Over time therapy strengthens one’s capacity for resiliency, emotional range, and increasing self-awareness. These experiences of inner and outer growth will also open up new sources of inspiration and possibility. This process does not happen overnight, it changes like the seasons, spiraling out and returning, over and over. Each time you return to yourself you grow and expand a little bit more.

Ultimately, the therapy space belongs to you. If you are interested in in-person sessions we will meet in a cozy art studio in Ballard, Seattle. The time in the room with your therapist is for you, and the space is yours to make yourself at home in.

I look forward to meeting you there!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
